SCHOOL SUPPLIES

I supply classroom basics and our class uses shared supplies; we do not have a school supplies list. However, the district budget is $350 for our classroom, for the entire year! Extra donations of items such asextra earbuds, paper towels, Kleenex, wipes, hand sanitizer, pencils, and ***dry erase markers*** are ALWAYS appreciated!

There are only two specific items you could send in with your child, to make our days run smoothly:

  • earbuds (not over-the-ear headphones) to be kept in the classroom
  • a plastic, storage style clipboard

These items are not required, but would be exceptionally helpful! Thank you in advance!

HOMEWORK

Daily fourth grade homework consists of only ONE very important task:

READING NIGHTLY

Rain or shine, holidays or school days... your 4th grader should

READ NIGHTLY

The parents’ role is to provide an environment conducive to completing the homework each evening, with particular attention to ensuring that your 4th grader

READS NIGHTLY

Your 4th grader needs to do this, in order to meet our 4th grade goal of reading

ONE MILLION words by the end of their fourth grade year.

Additional Homework opportunities are through our online resources. Your 4th grader has their log-in information for each program. These include:

xtra Math

iReady Math

Lexia

iReady Reading

Furthermore, we will often have assignments in our "google classroom" which may be accessed from home. If you would like to check how your 4th grader is doing, with regard to work completion OR if you would like additional practice/work time for them, have your son/daughter work on an assignment in google classroom!
